So let’s talk about why you clicked on this website. You’re probably someone who’s either concerned that AI is going to destroy everyone or you’re more concerned that it’s in the wrong person’s hands to begin with and don’t know what that means for your job security or your ability to be a functional human being in the job market. If that is you, please… take a big deep breath with me.

Okay did that feel good?

I want to help you navigate through tough topics even if you feel like you don’t know a lick about modern technology. Maybe you’re not as anxious as our previous friends but still feel lost in the mess of ever-changing landscapes. Where can you go?

You’re in the right place.

I’ve spent the last 10 years of my life in evolving landscapes, working with technology in the music production space that led me into a career in Information Technology. I remember the first day I prompted ChatGPT to answer a question for me, then spent hours unravelling the backend of what was happening under the hood, only to discover the decades of research and testing that became modern LLMs. Work that has led to humans saying things like I’m talking to my AI therapist.

We stand in a strange liminal space where artificial intelligence tools should make us more introspective. We are breaking our own rules for talking about inanimate objects so we can comprehend them. It doesn’t think, it doesn’t talk… but we create anthropomorphic language to help build a framework but then it starts to sound like Skynet is taking over. But where you don’t know where to begin to wrap your head around these realities, let me be your man on the inside to help you navigate this jungle.

I advise many friends deconstructing their place in the workforce learning to interface with technology. Friends who quit their jobs as CPAs to become carpenters, tired of corporate American life with chatbots and LED screens searching for what it meant to be human. Others who became security engineers for agentic AI companies looking to shape corporations to build human-first systems that value our human agency. I want to hold these competing ideas in tension, do the research, and help you and me become wiser and better stewards of the tools that promise to make our lives better.

I want you to look at these realities in front of us as opportunities for you to grow in your wisdom, your ability to use skills well. I don’t desire you to get sucked up in the atmosphere of propaganda ruining your ability to see reality clearly. That’s where this blog comes in: to take these new tools and align them with how you can flourish in life without giving up your humanness. Let’s work it out by wrestling with these questions and not being afraid to break a sweat in the process.
